Girls present a dance programme
The eighth founders’ day programme of Birla Public School began yesterday with a public function and cultural performances by the Kindergarten and Class 1 students.
The chief guest, Qapco’s head of communication and media, Shefa Ali Nader, spoke about the relevance of communication and stressed on the importance of  the smile and the need for empathy.
The school’s governing council director Dr Mohan Thomas stressed the need to focus more on lower primary and kindergarten education.
The cultural performances celebrated the universal appeal of music regardless of language or genre.
Indian, Arabic and Western dances were among the major attractions.
A dramatisation of ‘The Emperor’s New Clothes’ by the little actors won thumping applause. The founders’ day event is concluding tomorrow (Nov 30).
