Qatar and Nepal signed two agreements with a view to boosting bilateral relations following a round of official talks chaired by HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani and the visiting Nepalese President Dr Ram Baran Yadav at the Emiri Diwan yesterday.
 The talks were attended by HE the Deputy Premier and Chief of the Emiri Diwan Abdullah bin Hamad al-Attiyah and a number of ministers.
On the Nepalese side the talks were attended by the members of the official delegation accompanying the Nepalese president.
The two sides reviewed ties of co-operation and means of enhancing and promoting them in all fields. A set of other regional and international issues of mutual concern were also taken up.
Following the talks, the Emir and the Nepalese president witnessed the signing of an agreement for co-operation in the legal field and a memorandum of understanding for co-operation in the tourism sector between the governments of Qatar and Nepal .

Later the Emir hosted a luncheon banquet in honour of the Nepalese president and the accompanying delegation.
Earlier, the Nepalese president, who is in Qatar on a four-day state visit, was accorded a red carpet reception at  the Emiri Diwan.
Later in the evening the Nepalese president met the Board Chairman of Hassad Food Company Nasser bin Mohamed al-Fuhaid al-Hajiri at his residence. Nasser al-Hajiri said that the meeting discussed prospects of  investment  in Nepal, especially in food-supply sources.
