Iossifidis, Kitson and other Mashreq officials at the formal inauguration ceremony
Mashreq Qatar has announced the opening of Mashreq Learning Systems (MLS) – Centre for Excellence’ to provide tailored programmes for employees, especially Qatari nationals.
Located at TV Roundabout, the new centre inaugurated by Mashreq International Banking head John Iossifidis accompanied by Country head Howard Kitson, is a world-class development, which will facilitate similar initiatives to take place in the industry.
During the inauguration, Iossifidis said: “As the leading financial institution in the Middle East and North Africa, Mashreq Qatar values its human resources and emphasises on learning and development.
“We are committed to invest in the future of our personnel and believe that such career and personal development initiatives increase productivity in the work environment, which results in inspiring employees who identify themselves with Mashreq both on and off the job.”
The individuals will be instrumental in fulfilling Qatar’s National Vision 2030, he added.
The state-of-the-art facility will give employees the opportunity to develop, thus leading to enhance their careers and contribute to Qatar’s financial and banking sector.
MLS will also provide a broad range of training and development including leadership, coaching and mentoring, banking, finance, systems and technology.
The centre will also have a special focus on customer care services, ensuring customers receive globally recognised standards of service.

The centre will also encourage independent learning and self study by providing dedicated sections comprising of a computer lab, near-live teller simulation, a library and coaching areas.
