Q-Post will soon launch instant money remittance facility to more Asian countries, availing of the Universal Postal Union's (UPU) International Financial System (IFS) platform, Q-Post chairman Faleh Mohamed al-Naemi told Gulf Times on Tuesday.

"Q-Post recently started the facility to transfer remittance to such countries as Morocco, Tunisia and Djibouti through similar agreements with the postal corporations there," he explained.

The Q-Post chairman said similar agreements would be concluded with postal corporations of the Philippines, Malaysia and Indonesia in coming months.

"Our plan is to provide similar money remittance services to all 192 countries which are members of the Universal Postal Union," said al-Naemi while expressing the hope that more agreements will be signed in the next few months as part of the diversification plans of the postal corporation.
