The bronze leadership programme to prepare security leaders for the FIFA 2022 World Cup got underway at Officers’ club in General Administration of Civil Defence on Sunday. A total of 16 officers from different departments of the Ministry and Lakhwiya are attending the programme which is organised by the Ministry of Interior in collaboration with Police of Northern Ireland until October 15.
The opening event was attended by Brigadier Hussain Hasan al-Jaber, director of Human Resources Department of MoI, Brigadier Badr Ibrahim al-Ghanim, director of Technical Office of HE the Minister of Interior and Captain Fahad Saeed al-Sobaie, director of Training Department of Police College.
Brigadier Badr Ibrahim al-Ghanim stated that the course was prepared to meet the requirements of making bronze leaders to secure the FIFA 2022 World Cup.
 The programme is being prepared and presented by various agencies like Human Resources Department, Leaders Development Centre and Training and the Qualifying Unit of the World Cup Organising Committee.
The programme course includes introduction to operational command structures, roles and responsibilities of bronze, silver and gold leaders and leadership procedures in crisis management and securing sports championships and dealing with various possible scenarios in securing major sporting events.
   The course includes topics such as command and control, mass psychology and human rights as well as an overview of strategic decisions and practical exercises in the field of securing tournaments and sporting events.
