Qatar yesterday expressed its condemnation and denunciation of the arson attack by Israeli settlers on a Palestinian family in the occupied West Bank, killing an infant and wounding four members of his family.
The Foreign Ministry, in a statement, considered this “heinous crime as a serious escalation in acts of terrorism committed by extremists Israeli settlers against the Palestinian people”.
The statement called on the Israeli authorities “to assume their legal, moral and humanitarian responsibility, take all measures to stop these terrorist acts, provide security and protection to the Palestinian people and bring to justice the perpetrators of this crime”.
The statement expressed the sincere condolences of Qatar “to the family of the martyr, wishing a speedy recovery for the injured”.
The Muslim World League (MWL) also strongly condemned the terrorist crime committed by Jewish settlers.

Al-Turki called on leaders of the Arab and Muslim countries to exert efforts to stop Israeli violations of the Palestinians’ rights and properties.
Meanwhile, the Palestinian Authority has said that it would bring the arson attack before the UN Security Council.
The Palestinian Authority issued a statement saying it would raise “the crimes and terrorism of (Israeli) settlers against the Palestinian people” with the Security Council after the fatal attack, which occurred early  Friday.
The Palestinians will also ask UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon to reactivate a Palestinian request for placing the occupied territories under international custody.
The Security Council released a statement saying its members “expressed profound outrage and condemned in the strongest terms the vicious terrorist attack”.
