HE Foreign Minister Dr Khalid bin Mohamed al-Attiyah has stressed the importance of continued partnership and co-operation among GCC states and Jordan and Morocco to achieve the aspirations of the people of these countries.

Addressing the 4th joint ministerial meeting along with the Jordanian minister of foreign affairs and Moroccan foreign minister here yesterday, Dr al-Attiyah stressed that the aspiration of the people of the GCC, Jordan and Morocco is to achieve a prosperous future in all walks of life.

He thanked Jordanian Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh and Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation Salaheddine Mezouar for their participation in the meeting.

Dr al-Attiyah praised the efforts of the Kuwaiti Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah al-Khaled al-Hamad al-Sabah, president of the GCC Council’s previous session.

On behalf of the GCC foreign ministers, al-Attiyah expressed his condolences to the victims of the floods that swept the province of Guelmim and other areas in Morocco.

The Foreign Minister praised the efforts made by the joint action teams from the GCC, Jordan and Morocco to further strengthen co-operation in political, economic, security and cultural fields.
