The Supreme Council of Health (SCH) has reviewed Qatar’s preparedness to meet the threat posed by the Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) at a joint meeting  attended by the Committee for International Health Regulations and  the Consultative Team for Combating Communicable Diseases. 

A statement issued by the SCH said the meeting reviewed the implementation of the precautionary measures that were decided after the World Health Organisation declared the EVD a global  health emergency.

Sheikh Dr Mohammed bin Hamad al-Thani, director of the General Health Department at the SCH, reiterated at the meeting that there was no confirmed case of Ebola in Qatar.

The SCH has appealed to the public to inform them on phone numbers 66740948 and 66740951 and e-mail: [email protected] if they come across any suspicious case of  Ebola infection.
