Al Khalij Commercial Bank (al khaliji) will be participating in the 5th Annual Investors Relations Conference organised by the Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) in partnership with the Middle East Investor Relations Society (ME-IR Society) and JP Morgan. The conference, which being held today at Al Gassar Resort in Doha, will be attended by executives and experts promoting capital markets and international standards of IR.

Al khaliji has been an active participant in the society’s activities in Qatar since its inception. The conference will see deliberations on the development and practice of IR among Qatari companies and how to create better relations with the investment community. Al khaliji said in a statement that the IR objectives in Qatar needs to be in line with the Qatari investor culture, yet continue to effectively cater to specialised investors, bond holders, and analysts. It added that the bank aims to support the ambitions of Qatar to become an attractive and competitive destination for available funds.

In recent years, IR has sprung into more vital prominence with the increasing need for businesses to raise capital both locally and internationally. Al khaliji said IR has created a catalytic effect on the development of businesses to attract and retain the interest of investors not only in their stocks but also in their companies.
